Faith Is Rational

Trusting the Lord is the most rational thing we can do and trusting Him increases our rationality.

Luke 8:35: Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 1:18: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 4:22: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 5:17: Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Colossians 3:9: Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Genesis 6:5: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Job 28:28: And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Psalms 111:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

1 Corinthians 2:16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Sometimes I encounter individuals who pray a prayer to receive Jesus, but they seem not to have changed their minds about anything. That is especially troubling when I associate with them and know them for a long time after that prayer. I doubt that they were sincere when they prayed it. What joy it is when after a few weeks, months or longer God changes their mind about some things. The Jesus that I received was a mind-changing Jesus. He changed my mind about some things instantaneously and many other things as I studied the Bible and heard it taught. Has God ever changed your mind? About anything? He wants to change your mind about EVERYTHING! A right mind and a renewed mind will know that God*s will is best and will do everything it possibly can to learn His will and do it. And, of course, we cannot have a right mind until we have Christ dwelling in our hearts and the Holy Spirit and the Bible teaching our minds.

Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
